The Eastern Algarve International School in Tavira (EAST) was opened in September 2006 with the primary age range from 4-11 but with plans to develop first to age 16 and later to age 18. The school is currently in a temporary site at Terra Nossa in the Asseca Valley near Tavira but possible permanent sites are currently being researched. The curriculum at EAST has 5 focuses- The Arts, Languages, Health and Sport, Technology and Our Community.
